Kaydon Reali-Slim Open Thin Section Bearings
Kaydon Reali-Slim is a series of constant cross-section thin section ball bearings. Its cross-section stays unchanged even as the bore size increases. Lighter and more compact than conventional bearings, they are widely used in applications with limited space, where light weight and high precision are required, including aerospace, medical equipment, robotics and optical devices.
This product line has three basic open types without seals, ideal for well-lubricated, high-speed and easy-maintenance working conditions.

| Type | Contact Style | Main Load Capacity | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type C | Radial contact | Primarily radial load, moderate bidirectional axial load | Simple structure, cost-effective and highly versatile |
| Type A | Angular contact | Radial load plus unidirectional axial load | Excellent axial rigidity, suitable for high-speed operation |
| Type X | Four-point contact | Radial load, bidirectional axial load and moment load | Single bearing handles combined loads, replaces two standard bearings |
Standard bearings are made of 52100 chrome steel. Stainless steel versions and anti-corrosion coatings are available for humid and corrosive environments. Multiple cage options such as snap ring, wire form and PTFE are offered to fit different speed and temperature requirements.
The product covers a broad size range. Bore sizes run from 0.75 inch to 40 inches, with cross sections ranging from 0.187×0.187 inch to 1.0×1.0 inch, providing abundant standard selections.
Typical applications include airborne components and compact transmission units in aerospace industry, CT scanners, imaging systems and precision surgical tools in medical field, robot joints and harmonic drives, as well as radar systems, optical instruments and semiconductor equipment.
Featuring constant cross-section design, light weight, small footprint and reliable precision, Reali-Slim open bearings cover radial, axial and combined load scenarios. The open construction supports high running speed and easy servicing, making it a practical choice for compact high-precision machinery.
