Packaging Specification for Bearings Sold by Morebearings.com

Published: May 05, 2026 Engineering Team

Version: 1.0

Effective Date: 2026-05-05

Applicable Scope: All bearing products sold by morebearings.com

1. General Principles

This specification applies to all bearing products sold by morebearings.com, including domestic distribution and export shipments. All packaging follows original manufacturer standards, global logistics safety requirements, and international customs regulations. The goal is to ensure products arrive damage‑free, rust‑free, clean, and fully protected throughout storage, transit, and final delivery.

2. Packaging Structure and Material Standards

morebearings.com uses a three‑level protective packaging system for all bearings. All materials are eco‑friendly, recyclable, and industry‑compliant.

Packaging LevelCore PurposeStandard Materials
Primary PackagingDirect product protection, anti‑rust, moisture‑proofOriginal factory PE bag / sealed film, VCI paper / film, original factory box
Secondary PackagingUnit consolidation, safe handlingCorrugated carton, PE inner liner, shock‑resistant filling, PP sealing tape
Tertiary Transport PackagingBulk / heavy‑duty transport stabilizationStandard pallet, stretch film, strapping, edge protectors, ISPM 15 heat‑treated wooden cases (export)

3. General Packaging Requirements

3.1 Integrity

Original factory primary packaging must be fully retained. Unauthorized removal, replacement, or simplification is not permitted.

3.2 Cleanliness and Rust Prevention

All packaging must be clean, free of oil, dust, or contaminants. Corrosion‑prone bearings receive full rust protection for the entire transport and storage cycle.

3.3 Safety and Stability

Packaging must be free of sharp edges, exposed nails, or other hazards. Empty spaces inside cartons must be filled to prevent movement and collision during transit.

3.4 Stacking and Logistics Compatibility

Packaging must support at least 2‑layer stacking without deformation or damage. Palletized shipments comply with standard industry dimensions and weight limits.

3.5 ESD Protection

Electrostatic‑sensitive bearings use certified ESD‑protective packaging to meet international electrostatic safety standards.

3.6 Export Compliance

Wooden packaging for export is ISPM 15 heat‑treated and marked with IPPC to satisfy global customs and quarantine rules. Extra rust and moisture protection is applied for long‑distance ocean and air transport.

4. Packaging Rules by Shipment Scenario

4.1 Small‑quantity / Retail Shipments

Original individual packaging is preserved. Outer cartons include PE lining and shock‑proof filling, fully sealed with heavy‑duty tape for courier and LTL delivery.

4.2 Full‑carton / Bulk Shipments

Original factory master cartons are used; mixed part numbers are avoided. Palletized loads are secured with stretch film and strapping.

4.3 Heavy and Large‑size Bearings

Reinforced wooden cases, pallets, and multi‑point strapping are used to improve compression and impact resistance.

4.4 Export Orders

Full export packaging standards are applied, with upgraded rustproofing, sealing, and quarantine‑compliant wooden packaging.

5. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can we replace the original inner packaging of bearings?A: No. Original primary packaging must be kept intact. Only outer protective layers may be added for logistics safety.

Q2: What is the difference between packaging for small bearings and heavy bearings?A: Small bearings use individual bags or boxes; heavy bearings require additional pallets, wooden cases, and reinforced strapping.

Q3: What are the mandatory requirements for wooden packaging for export?A: All wooden packaging must be ISPM 15 heat‑treated and marked with IPPC to pass customs inspection.

Q4: Are there standard size and weight limits for pallet shipments?A: We use industry‑standard pallets; total height and weight follow universal logistics requirements for safe handling and stacking.

Q5: What if packaging is damaged or non‑compliant?A: Any product damage, delivery rejection, or rework caused by non‑standard packaging will be the responsibility of the relevant operating party.
